3 Tools to help you focus
In the modern fast-paced world that we live in, finding balance and focus is very tough. Angry bosses and gadgets make focus almost impossible, luckily the modern world and especially science found some tricks to help you focus better.
1- Make it clear
You need to focus, we know that, but we need to make it clear; what to focus on? for how long to focus? why do you need to focus? Ask yourself those questions and see if the answer you got makes clear the reasons for your focus, if you don't focus intentionally you will never get to where you need to be, maybe you will be focused but you will be focused on too many things.
2- Make it easy
The most crucial thing to do when trying to focus is to block all distractions, whether your phone, your brother, YouTube, or anything else that will keep you from focusing on your tasks, if there are around it will be impossible to focus.
you have a ton of ways to block distractions.
For PC- I use Cold Turkey blocker
Phone- just throw it in a drawer or put it in another room
People- come on, lock the door, it's not so hard
Put some chill music, headphones on, laptop open, go into airplane mode, and let the work get done, I promise you that once you get distractions out of the way and know what you should focus on you will finish any task 4X faster.
3- Work hard, rest harder
Your focus is exactly like a battery; if you use it for too long and too hard it will run out, you need to let your brain rest, and you need to know how to rest properly, so I'll give you some thumb rules for it.
No screens-as your parents said, it fries your brain, but really you are putting too much focus on screens so they are not a good way to reach your brain.
Go outside- and I don't mean to the mall or the cinema, your natural state is in nature, maybe we are the smartest creatures on earth but our body is used to being around trees and plants, they are releasing chemicals that are good to your body and brain and also makes you naturally calm so why not?
Let your brain chill- you have to let your brain calm down from all the work he has done. Let your thoughts come and go, don't judge, just let them be, and let your brain control. Meditation is an amazing tool to recharge your brain as I explained, close your eyes and let it be.
Those are my top 3 tips to focus. If you will mix all of them you will be able to focus for a good amount of time, without getting distracted, and recover your focus faster than anyone.
